UM BRIDGES faculty teaches environmental leadership course

Neva Hassanein, Professor in the UM Environmental Studies Program, will be offering an Environmental Leadership Series in Spring, 2017. The one-credit ELS will include five professional-development workshops specifically designed for graduate students and led by professional trainers.

Likely topics include: (1) understanding non-profit organizations; (2) grant writing; (3) facilitating groups; (4) measuring success; and (5) understanding environmental policy at the Montana State Legislature.

Interested students are advised to enroll in ENST 595 for one credit. Requirements will include attendance at the workshops, as well as some short reflective writing. A detailed schedule and description will be available by the start of spring semester. Currently, workshops are planned for Monday or Friday afternoons, but schedules may vary.
